Boxes: Redefining Retail Space with Innovative Design

Ao Design presents "Boxes," a high-end children's clothing retail space located in the upscale residential areas of Gulou District, Nanjing. The project, completed in July 2020, redefines traditional retail spaces through a fusion of space and art aesthetics, aiming to elevate the brand's commercial value and create an imaginative and creative shopping environment.

The innovative design features a unique "BOX" concept that divides the window area into three distinct spaces: entrance, display, and scene, utilizing interior architecture techniques to expand the visual impact of the facade. The project covers a total of 100 square meters and incorporates modern, simple, and natural elements to create a visually stunning and functional retail space.

Challenging traditional spatial design, the "BOX" space not only subverts conventional design but also responds to functional demands, offering a fresh perspective on retail space utilization. The project's realization technology includes the use of an infinitely extending mirror to stimulate creativity and provide unparalleled visual impact.

Emma Zhu's captivating visual content showcases the unique design elements and the seamless integration of form and function within the retail space. The project was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding creativity and contribution to quality of life improvements.
