BIH-JENG LIN unveils a groundbreaking resort design inspired by nature, featuring staggered buildings, irregular geometries, and a harmonious blend with the environment.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BIH-JENG LIN's "Misplaced Geometry" is a resort design that embodies the essence of nature, offering a unique and harmonious retreat. The project, completed in July 2018 in Taiwan, features two interconnected buildings with unequal heights, widths, and depths, creating a stunning visual impact. The exterior design, characterized by irregular triangular geometry and spray-painted walls, reflects the disorderly growth of tree branches, symbolizing the client's aspiration for a serene living environment.
The resort's grayscale exterior is adorned with hexagonal tiles, irregular glass, hollow brick, and geometric patterns, showcasing a fusion of modern and natural elements. The interior spans a total area of 413.09 square meters, with a unique three-story layout that integrates the surrounding landscape into the design.
The project's realization posed challenges due to the mountainous environment, requiring proactive measures to withstand the region's humidity and sulfur content. Despite these obstacles, the design team successfully achieved a seamless integration with nature, emphasizing the client's vision of a tranquil and immersive experience.
BIH-JENG LIN's design philosophy centers on human and environment-oriented concepts, ensuring that each project communicates effectively with its surroundings. The "Misplaced Geometry" resort stands as a testament to the designer's commitment to creating innovative, sustainable, and visually captivating spaces.
