Airport Bremen has unveiled a cutting-edge wayfinding system designed by Geissert Thomas, aiming to create a calm and balanced environment for international guests. The system features high-contrast colors, modern classic typography, and contemporary aluminum cases with optimized LED illumination, promoting safety, confidence, and deceleration among passengers.
The new wayfinding system, characterized by its own identity and originality, works intuitively and contributes positively to the service quality of the airport. The signage system includes new flight information display screens (FIDS) and distinctive arrow elements suitable for the newly designed pictograms.
Geissert Thomas' expertise in wayfinding and orientation systems has led to the successful realization of this project, which began in 2012 and was completed in 2018. The system's design, underpinned by extensive research, has earned it the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its outstanding expertise and innovation.
