ZUP, a leading design institute, has unveiled the Future Headquarters Community, a groundbreaking urban design project in Hangzhou, China. Inspired by the integration of modern city impressions and local culture, the project aims to create a dynamic space that seamlessly blends office and residence, catering to the evolving needs of the city's digital economy. The project commenced in January 2019 and is located in the CBD area of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.
The Future Headquarters Community is the first of its kind in Zhejiang Province, offering an open and inclusive industrial ecology to attract leading enterprises and start-ups for common development and communication. The design features a vertical multi-level public space with high-quality landscape elements, enhancing interaction between people and stimulating innovation vitality. This visionary project aims to address the need for new spaces to attract enterprises and talents in Hangzhou's rapidly evolving CBD.
With a focus on integrating the city and landscape, the Future Headquarters Community draws inspiration from Hangzhou's rich cultural heritage and the surrounding natural elements. The project's unique properties include its ability to attract innovative talents and businesses, fostering an environment that encourages creativity and collaboration. The design team, led by Sang Wanchen and comprising chief planners Kang Lei, Shi Tuo, and Wu Xiaochun, has overcome various creative, technical, and research challenges to ensure the project's success.
