Discover the Unique Blend of Country Serenity and Modern Living
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MING RU LI's "Layers Of Colours" residence project in Taichung, Taiwan, completed in 2019, offers a unique blend of country serenity and modern living. The design team utilized color as a medium to balance diverse functionality, creating a memory treasure bank for the family.
The project features bold colors and variable forms to shape a rich spatial expression, with material detailing triggering a psychological impulse. The living room floor, for example, showcases scratch-resistant timber flooring, subtly demarcating interior domains.
Utilizing white masonry and bright yellow plates, the TV wall serves as a display and jump platform for the cats, while the opposite sofa backwall provides a contrasting blue color, creating layered visual depth within limited space.
The design also incorporates hidden doors to maintain visual continuity and spacious interior, while the dining area offers warmth and functional flexibility. The master bedroom features textured cabinets with symmetrical large storage, catering to the couple and their cats' living needs.
MING RU LI's innovative design was recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in 2020, celebrating its practicality, innovation, and integration of industry best practices.
