Li Yanning's East China Grand Canyon Visitor Center is a multi-functional building located in Taishun County, Wenzhou City, China, completed in May 2021.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The East China Grand Canyon Visitor Center, designed by Li Yanning, is a groundbreaking multi-functional building that defies conventions with its S-shaped streamline form. The building connects a folk culture center, tourism reception center, exhibition hall, digital nomad office, and hotel, offering a unique and versatile space for visitors.
Through terrain analysis, a 500-meter scenic ramp extending from the ground to the highest point of the roof was designed, providing a seamless integration with the surrounding landscape. The green roof, adorned with local plants, not only enhances the building's aesthetic appeal but also helps in lowering the summer roof temperature, showcasing the project's eco-organic approach.
Utilizing green roofing and solar energy technology, the East China Grand Canyon Visitor Center stands as a testament to sustainable architecture, offering a harmonious coexistence between the built environment and the natural surroundings.
