Lilin Design Unveils Inkwell, a Dark-Toned Residence Project, Awarded Iron in A' Design Award 2024
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Lilin Design presents "Inkwell," a residence project that redefines dark tones through ink-play art imagery and blank space, creating a unique living space. The project, spanning 82.6 square meters, was completed in September 2023 in Taichung City, Taiwan. The design team, led by Jia-Rong Li and Bei-Xuan Ciou, transformed the space into a work of art, blending stone and ink textures to craft a dynamic and vibrant environment.
The project's unique feature lies in the presentation of ink-play images in slab tiles with stone texture, covering the TV wall, cabinets, floors, and kitchen island. The use of matte suede paint, black glass, mirrors, and wood grain, alongside eco-friendly building materials, enhances the depth and texture of the space, creating a cozy yet visually striking home.
The client's preference for dark colors inspired the design team to integrate ink-play art imagery and blank space, resulting in a space that balances aesthetics and modern living habits. The open-plan study room and customized display cabinet showcasing the client's collection of Bearbricks add character and interest to the space, creating an ideal environment for both privacy and socialization.
