FREDERIC ROLLAND ARCHITECTURE transforms Zhejiang Pinghu with the innovative Pinghu Sports Center, providing a multi-functional and immersive experience for all ages.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FREDERIC ROLLAND ARCHITECTURE has unveiled the Pinghu Sports Center, a transformative project that redefines public sports infrastructure. The renovation design integrates the concept of a three-dimensional ribbon, reshaping the architectural and landscape scale to create an all-weather civic sports park. The project, covering an area of 146,204.13 m², incorporates traditional architectural elements in a modern and abstract way, achieving economic and aesthetic integration.
The innovative air smart runway, hybrid plastic paving, and intelligent information equipment provide real-time exercise monitoring and an immersive experience. The project also features sports facilities for all ages, including a cage basketball park, family fitness and entertainment area, and venues for the elderly. The project meets the competition function requirements of the 10th Games of Jiaxing and the needs of national fitness, showcasing its commitment to publicness, intellectualization, and involvement.
The Pinghu Sports Center project, which commenced in June 2022 and concluded in December 2022 in Shanghai, overcame significant challenges to ensure the completion of the reconstruction project within a tight timeframe. The successful completion of the project was a testament to the collaboration and dedication of the design and construction teams.
