Discover the innovative spatial design of the Himalaya Designer Office, a project by Roy Hu, located in Xiamen, China, completed in June 2023.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Inspired by the three-dimensionality of space, the Himalaya Designer Office concretizes this concept into a multi-dimensional information guide, transforming the traditional office space into a complex chronotope of overlapping time and space.
The design rebels against the traditional office conception, featuring dark tones, unique textures, and lighting reminiscent of commercial spaces, creating a modern and innovative environment.
Vertical metal rods and sloping walls intensify the spatial experience, presenting a one-dimensional space as a two-dimensional aspect without completely separating it. The project area spans 950 square meters, located in Xiamen, Fujian, China.
The design department extends the three-dimensionality motif, organizing interconnected yet independent office desks, conveying a sense of order while exhibiting a flowing and continuous sensation like a murmuring stream. The project was completed in June 2023, following a start time in February 2023.
Incorporating richly complex materials and techniques, the design showcases a diverse range of selections in subtle ways, maintaining a simple appearance while exploring diverse experiences and innovation. The project was awarded Iron in A' Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design Award in 2024.
