Zhengzhou Longhu Conference Center

Renowned designer Fei Hu has unveiled the Zhengzhou Longhu Conference Center, a project inspired by the mythical phoenix, symbolizing auspiciousness, love, and peace in ancient Chinese legends. The interior design draws inspiration from the phoenix, with atrium spaces on the first, second, and third floors interconnected vertically, expressing the dynamic posture of the phoenix through abstract modern techniques.

The project is set to become the largest independent pavilion in Zhengzhou, with the ability to host high-level international conferences. Fei Hu has taken Chinese culture as the core concept, incorporating the image of the dragon and phoenix as design elements. The design presents a national convention center with typical Chinese cultural characteristics and a modern and elegant style to the world.

The design of the project began in March 2022, with formal construction commencing in June 2023. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2024 in Zhengzhou, China.

Inside the white marble line is a steel frame structure to ensure safe fixation on the wall. The top white line is changed to a metal plate, with the surface sprayed with paint matching the texture of marble to ensure construction safety and effect.

The most difficult part of the project was to combine local traditional culture with the characteristics of a modern conference center in the interior design. Fei Hu and the design team went through at least 5 rounds of design proposals to meet the design expectations.

The design features white marble-shaped curves as the main decorative shape of the space, inspired by the feathers of the phoenix. The changes of light and shadow add detail to the pure space, with brown metal plates balancing the overall tone. A 17-meter high atrium offers a bird's eye view effect of the white marble lines.

Fei Hu is a design expert with over 20 years of experience in the interior design field. He has led and completed numerous iconic interior design and real estate projects across the country, providing design solutions for luxury residential, hotel commercial, and public cultural projects. Fei Hu has won numerous awards in design competitions and has been published in professional interior design magazines and books.
