Lynch Salon and Bar, designed by Hsin Hao Huang, takes guests back to the 1920s, offering a unique blend of a hair salon and a bar, exuding antique charm and mystery.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
To recreate the glamorous and luxurious vibes of the 1920s Jazz Age, Lynch Salon and Bar features vintage furniture, leather chairs, and natural marble, paying homage to the era filled with glitz and glamour. The space is a groundbreaking design that combines Eastern and Western vintage and antique pieces, witnessing the mighty tide of history.
LYNCH Salon and Bar is a two-faced venue, serving as a hair salon by day and a bar by night. Imbued with glass, mirrors, light, shadow, and curves, the space exudes an aura of mystery at night, telling stories of the past through contrasting elements.
The project, finished in 2022 in Taipei City, Taiwan, was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2024 for its outstanding expertise and innovation in interior space, retail, and exhibition design.
Brass, stone, glass, mirror, walnut, Victorian tile, and paint were used in the realization of the space, which spans 132 square meters and includes an entrance, sitting area, bar area, and a semi-open booth. The symmetrical entrance door and diamond pattern flooring symbolize the merge of the two industries within the space, creating a sense of privacy for guests.
Large diamond-shaped mirrors, brass finishes, and vintage tiles convey a nostalgic vibe, while the partition behind the entrance divides the space into two, leading guests to the central area. By day, guests can wait on matching sofas, and by night, they can enjoy a sip in the same area. The design's technical specifications and unique properties make it a remarkable and innovative space.
