The Hotel Reception Center Designed to Harmonize with Nature
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Joel Alli Resort, designed by Hongfei Yan, is a hotel reception center located in the Moganshan Scenic Area, one of the top summer resorts in China. The project, which covers a total of 580 square meters, was initiated in March 2019 and completed in August 2019 in Deqing. The design concept aimed to establish a strong connection between construction and nature, utilizing local elements such as water, cloud, bamboo, and mountain to create a seamless integration with the natural environment.
As a reception center, the Joel Alli Resort stands out for its unique approach to harmonizing with nature. The interior space is designed to evoke a sense of the natural environment, incorporating elements such as mountains, water, clouds, and bamboo. The use of different spatial heights and widths based on the space functions creates a balance between the construction and the surrounding nature.
Designers utilized natural materials and the original texture and primary colors of the material to bring their ideas to life. For instance, the front desk of the lobby was crafted from century-old wood through a special cut, showcasing the original annual rings and emphasizing the respect for nature.
The glass wall extends visitors' views from the indoor cloud-shaped lanterns to the distant mountains, creating a casual, relaxed atmosphere that allows people to truly calm down, relax, and enjoy the peace. The design was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence.
