Peilei Huang's Time Newborn Hotel Project
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Peilei Huang's Time Newborn project is a stunning transformation of an old building into a modern and artistic hotel space, located in Nanjing, China. The project, completed in January 2019, seamlessly integrates innovative design elements to create a comfortable and pure space experience, breathing new life into the urban landscape.
The 450-square meter project cleverly utilizes the existing load-bearing wall structure to create a progressive sense of space layer by layer, allowing the spatial functions of the hotel to be independent yet interconnected. Warm Beige bricks and art sculptures, along with metal frame divisions and art wall lamps, render a nostalgic yet contemporary ambiance to the exhibition area of the foyer.
The design team overcame challenges such as insufficient illumination by incorporating a skylight, creating a transparent and calming atmosphere. The hotel's entrance features a canopy ceiling extended to the interior, presenting a transparent display surface and an art exhibition gallery. The space is characterized by bold colors and artistic decorations, breathing new life into the old building.
