Wine Tasting House Redefines Cellar Experience

Sílvia Carvalho's "Sensory Aesthetic" is a wine tasting house designed to elevate the experience of collecting and tasting fine wines. Nestled within the gardens of Mangabeira Palace in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, this unique wine cellar offers a cozy and intimate ambiance, inspired by the true universe of wineries.

The cellar, air-conditioned and automated, features an innovative LED lighting system that illuminates labels based on the visitor's selected wine region, enhancing the overall tasting experience.

The project, which started in June 2019 and concluded in October 2019, was exhibited at the Casa Cor MG, showcasing the culmination of extensive research and creative design challenges overcome by Sílvia Carvalho.

Another standout feature of "Sensory Aesthetic" is the eight-seater round table, perfect for wine enthusiasts to gather and indulge in the brotherhood of wine tasting. The space also includes a gourmet countertop, a shelf displaying rare labels, and a deck for outdoor toasts, offering a complete and immersive wine tasting experience.

Recognized with the Silver A' Design Award in 2021, "Sensory Aesthetic" stands out for its exceptional technical characteristics, innovative design, and its ability to evoke positive emotions and wonder among visitors.

For Sílvia Carvalho, the journey involved personal visits to wineries worldwide, aiming to create a space where wine takes center stage, surrounded by natural elements such as wood, stone, and leather, reflecting the essence of the winemaking environment.

The design's unique properties and realization technology, including the use of wooden pipes to suspend bottles and the delicate yet resilient construction, highlight the meticulous attention to detail and the pursuit of excellence in wine tasting design.
