FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Yousaku Tsutsumi's "House in Akashi" is a testament to the seamless integration of nature and architecture, offering a unique lifestyle immersed in tranquility and comfort. Divided into three zones, each with a garden and distinct concept, the design blurs the boundaries between inside and outside, promoting a harmonious coexistence with nature.
Constructed entirely from wood, the project maximizes communal space while ensuring privacy, capturing the endless expanse of the outer world within a city dwelling. The design's sustainable construction aligns with its celebration of nature, offering a living space that is both environmentally conscious and artistically visionary.
The project, located in Akashi city, Hyogo prefecture, Japan, was realized from April 2017 to July 2018. Despite the challenge of incorporating essential spaces within a small site area, the design successfully encapsulates the essence of traditional Japanese wooden construction, offering a serene and captivating living environment.
