Zhonghai Tianyu Garden: A Modern Residential Landscape Masterpiece

ECOLAND Planning and Design Corp. proudly introduces Zhonghai Tianyu Garden, a stunning residential landscape located in the newly developed town center in the Hunnan District of Shenyang, China. The garden, covering an area of about 25,535 square meters, features a collection of ballet-inspired sculptures and a blend of modern simplicity and sensuality, making it a top choice for local citizens to buy a new home.

The garden, completed in May 2019, is a testament to the successful collaboration between the designer, contractor, and client, offering a beautiful environment suitable for living, recreation, and work. It has become a popular destination for residents, bringing neighbors together and setting an example for future development.

Designed as a collection of outdoor rooms, the garden features multiple leisure and entertainment spaces, seamlessly blending connections between indoor and outdoor spaces to create outdoor living rooms for the residents to enjoy. The design fuses plants with water, walls, and sculptural elements into a sequence of light and contrast, forming a rich spatial level of diversity within a relatively small space.

The garden uses the rational lines of the classic paintings of Piet Mondrian to create and enclose the space, forming an art entrance gallery and central courtyard that accommodates various functions, with consideration to the movement of light and shadows. The design has seamlessly blended the connections between indoor and outdoor spaces, creating outdoor living rooms for the residents to enjoy.

Vegetation is planted to enhance the sense of geometrical space in the residential garden, making the landscape views more versatile by emphasizing spatial relationships. The plant selection, including local trees such as Chinese Ash and Siberian apricots, has been carefully chosen to withstand the site’s extremely cold winter weather and provide a dynamic change throughout the seasons.

Recognizing the significance of lighting, landscape site lighting has been strategically incorporated to provide warm outdoor spaces that are usable at night, defining many of the artistic elements found within the garden. Lights inset into paving and lawns provide illumination from the ground level to highlight the walking surfaces and plants, creating an activity space for afternoon and evening entertaining.
