Hall of Sonata is a residential project completed in October 2020 in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, designed by Hsieh-Ying Chen. The project features a spacious and open layout, incorporating unique spatial tonality and dynamic elements to create a harmonious living space.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Hall of Sonata is characterized by its use of geometric and curved elements to define and transition between spaces, allowing for flexibility and smooth path transitions. The design team utilized various materials such as iron, wood, glass, and water-based paint to create a rich and interlacing spatial color tone, while maximizing natural light and incorporating translucent materials to extend and expand the space.
The project also addresses technical challenges, such as modifying the beam height at the entrance and integrating storage solutions to meet the client's needs. The design team's focus on creating an open and inviting atmosphere is evident in the use of window screens to allow warm natural light to fill the house, as well as the creation of an introverted space for relaxation.
Recognized for its outstanding creativity and ingenuity, Hall of Sonata received the Bronze A' Design Award in 2021 for Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design.
