Rania Alomar's groundbreaking Pet Resource Center in Bentonville, Arkansas, redefines animal care with a no-kennel, no-cage approach, aiming for a No-Kill status by 2025.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Rania Alomar's Pet Resource Center is a revolutionary concept in the animal care industry, challenging traditional shelter models with its no-kennel, no-cage philosophy. The design, inspired by local vernacular, aims to provide a modern, community-focused space for pet adoption and fostering. The building, spanning 20,000 square feet interior and exterior, is a result of extensive research and analysis of local architecture, with a focus on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.
The Center, designed to support pet adoption and fostering, features a unique architectural approach that omits traditional kennels and cages. Instead, it offers a community wing and a medical wing connected by an internal bridge, providing shade for event spaces and a gathering area for volunteers. The design process, which began in January 2020, culminated in construction completion in March 2023, marking a significant milestone in the animal care industry.
Rania Alomar's Pet Resource Center has been recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in 2024, underscoring its exceptional innovation and technical prowess. The Center's pioneering approach and commitment to a No-Kill status by 2025 set a new standard for animal care facilities, emphasizing the well-being and long-term health of animals in its care.
