FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Taiwanese designer TIEN WUN LI has unveiled an interactive exhibition space for Simbalion Art Studio, integrating the company's art supplies and cultural elements into the product manufacturing process. The space features interactive installations, a DIY experience classroom, and a gallery, creating an immersive and engaging environment for visitors.
The exhibition gallery introduces the brand's history and innovation, allowing the public to understand the evolution of Simbalion Stationery. Interactive devices produce colored pens, providing visitors with a glimpse into the stationary production process. The space also features environmentally friendly and non-toxic bubble balls, creating a unique atmosphere, and an area where visitors can unleash their creativity by splashing paint on the walls.
The space design embodies Simbalion products, harmoniously arranging the characteristics of Simbalion stationary. Three-dimensional acrylic dolls and watercolor cakes enable visitors to draw in the space, breaking the conventional use of stationery. A darkroom exhibition space for the Luminous Pen creates a fantasy night sky under the draftsman's work.
The first-floor ceiling features a specially customized barrier vocabulary, with thin-film grids resembling paper dancing on the surface. The overall space is designed to resemble a fantasy paradise stacked with paper and stationery, emphasizing safety with the use of fireproof materials.
This interactive space aims to provide a dynamic and engaging experience for visitors. From producing colored pens to experiencing different spatial atmospheres, the exhibition space offers a range of activities, including DIY classrooms and art galleries.
The project received the Silver A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence. The space is designed to evoke the brand's classic period and enhance the connection between the public and the areas through interactive circulation planning and figurative ideas.
