Award-winning designer YI-HSIEN CHIANG creates a unique, enveloping, and penetrating residential space, Black Spruce, in Taiwan, China, blending industrial style with sophistication.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
YI-HSIEN CHIANG's Black Spruce residence is a testament to the designer's unique understanding of residential design, combining warm dark colors, stucco, and special paints to create a stress-free atmosphere. The use of moru glass and folding doors adds transparency and interaction between different areas, enhancing the sense of openness and comfort in the 56.1 square meters apartment.
The project, finished in February 2024, showcases the designer's meticulous selection of materials, including stucco, moru glass, rusty mikado quartz, and steel-brushed wood veneer, to achieve a sophisticated industrial style. The space was adjusted to better suit the client's needs and lifestyle, featuring a study room, living room, and dining room, all meticulously planned to maximize functionality and comfort.
YI-HSIEN CHIANG's design not only meets the client's preference for industrial style but also provides a sense of relaxation and trust, creating a sanctuary in a fast-paced world. The project was awarded Bronze in the A' Design Award for Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design in 2024, recognizing its outstanding creativity and contribution to quality of life improvements.
