Award-winning designer Jianchao Liu unveils the transformation of an old building into a spacious modern villa
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jianchao Liu's Soleil Levant project is a stunning modern villa inspired by Claude Monet's "Impression, Sunrise." The 820 sqm villa, located in Changsha, China, integrates traditional Chinese and Western modernist aesthetics, creating a unique blend of modern and traditional elements.
The design features a harmonious blend of ocean blue, warm Hermes orange, pale purple, slight red, blue-gray, and orange-yellow colors, creating a relaxed and vibrant atmosphere. The open and symmetrical living space incorporates stone, fabric, and metal, adding a dynamic touch to the villa.
One of the unique features of Soleil Levant is the integration of the interior and exterior spaces, with elaborate courtyards and terraces linking the indoors and outdoors. The grand French windows bring in natural light and green scenery, offering a private space to enjoy outdoor beauty.
Despite the challenges posed by the ten-year-old building, Jianchao Liu successfully reimagined the space, creating a high-ceilinged living room, a tea room facing the lake, a suite on the second floor, and a terrace on the third floor. The design seamlessly combines luxury materials and a pursuit of exquisite life, resulting in a space that is both open and luxurious.
Jianchao Liu's design philosophy shines through in Soleil Levant, offering a glimpse into a wonderful life through brilliant design. With 17 years of experience in interior design, Jianchao Liu's innovative approach has earned him the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2021.
