Tong Xu's Jinghualou Restaurant Blends History and Elegance in a Unique Dining Experience
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tong Xu's Jinghualou restaurant is a fusion of East and West, offering a unique dining experience that blends history and elegance. Inspired by the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, the restaurant combines the royal context of the Forbidden City with the elegance of Western culture, creating a ukiyo-e masterpiece through interior design.
Spanning 1200 square meters, the restaurant is a breathtaking sight with its blue walls, green tiles, and bright glass screens. Guests are welcomed by a Taihu Lake Stone in the greeting hall, surrounded by pavilions and gardens that exude an aristocratic lifestyle.
The project, which began in November 2021 and was completed in October 2022, is located on the central axis of Beijing, managed by the heirs of the old imperial kitchen. The fusion of cultures from the East and the West, the South and the North, is evident throughout the design, offering guests a truly immersive experience.
Behind the golden screen, guests can enjoy the exquisite plating of royal dishes and equally share the distance from the Stone, making them feel like honored guests. Overcoming challenges such as the lack of an exclusive traffic passage, the designer added stairs, elevators, and expanded the foyer to enhance customer convenience.
Recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in 2024, Jinghualou stands as a testament to Tong Xu's 32 years of experience in architecture and interior design. His work, deeply rooted in local culture and logic, enriches life through extensive and engaging human interactions, bringing spaces to life with soul and lasting vitality.
