Kris Lin's "Fly" project, an urban art experience center, is set to represent the development and take off of Jiangyin city in the Yangtze River basin.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Kris Lin, in collaboration with Jiayu Yang, has unveiled "Fly," an urban art experience center located in Jiangyin, China. The project, covering an area of 21527 sq.ft, is a unique architectural marvel inspired by the concept of flying over water.
The center, strategically positioned at the edge of the Yangtze River, integrates natural elements of the river into its pool landscape, creating a stunning visual representation of flying wings. The cantilevered structures and the absence of visible columns give the building a seamless, wing-like appearance, symbolizing the city's growth and progress.
Constructed using white and gray aluminum plates with beige marble, the building's design fosters a sense of air permeability, blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces. The project, initiated in April 2018, was completed in August 2019 and exhibited in the same month in Jiangyin, China.
Kris Lin's "Fly" project was awarded the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its outstanding and trendsetting design that reflects the designer's prodigy and wisdom.
