Zhang Yun's Sales Office Project, "The Smell of Book," Combines Chinese History and Modern Design
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Zhang Yun's "The Smell of Book" project is a sales office inspired by 5000 years of Chinese history, symbolizing the ups and downs of the book scroll as the waves of history. The design combines the elements of the book to create a scholarly atmosphere, using special materials to provide a multi-level aesthetic experience. The natural form, line, and format of the book scroll are used as artistic installations, expressing simplicity, creativity, and integrity in design.
The project, realized using stainless steel seamless welding, metal cutting, and art hidden line fishing technology, features mirror stainless steel, metal, acrylic, white stone, curved mirror, and terrazzo materials. With dimensions of 20m x 25m x 8m, the sales office is located in Chengdu, China, and was completed in September 2020.
The design team overcame the challenge of naturally leading customers from the second floor to the first floor by using the idea of a book scroll as the space moving line and a scenic spot. This allows customers to follow the direction of the book scroll and naturally visit the model room downstairs.
Zhang Yun's YLH Design, headquartered in Beijing, focuses on reflecting humanistic care in space and bringing poetry, carefree, moving, and happiness to people's lives. The "The Smell of Book" project was awarded the Golden A' Design Award in 2021 for its outstanding and trendsetting design.
