Golden Jade Development & WOHA Singapore's Joint Project, Sky Green, Redefines Urban Living with Green Spaces
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sky Green, a joint project between Golden Jade Development and WOHA Singapore, sets a new standard for green buildings in Taiwan. Completed in November 2019 in Taichung City, this innovative design seamlessly integrates living outdoor greenery with contemporary architecture, creating a serene oasis in the midst of urban hustle. The 1952 square meter public spaces, including the lobby, common room, library, and swimming pool, redefine city living by harmoniously blending nature with modern structures.
The design inspiration for Sky Green revolves around the concept of reflection, with glass and polished titanium elements adding a sense of height and endlessness. The undulating polished ceiling of the pool area reflects the waves and motion of water, symbolizing natural flow. By merging natural elements with man-made structures, Sky Green achieves a unique ambiance that resonates with the future of green buildings.
Utilizing advanced technology and materials, the public areas of Sky Green are designed to maximize natural light. Polished light grey/white marble, titanium, and glass are strategically incorporated to enhance spaces with less access to natural light, while the library features warm wood, leather, and ample lighting, overlooking an outdoor garden/lounge area with a bamboo grove. The pool area further brings nature into the space with rough-hewn granite walls and living greenery.
This exceptional design has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2021, underscoring its outstanding innovation and technical excellence. Sky Green stands as a testament to the possibility of green, living buildings in modern urban environments, offering residents a seamless transition from the bustling city into a calming, nature-infused sanctuary.
