Scotiabank's newly redesigned corporate headquarters, located at Lorenzo Boturini 206 in Mexico City, represents a transformative approach to workplace design. Led by renowned architect Juan Carlos Baumgartner, the project began in July 2018 and concluded in August 2024, resulting in a 12,000 sqm environment that merges modern aesthetics with sustainable practices. The design prioritizes employee comfort and productivity, offering open, light-filled spaces that encourage interaction, creativity, and a sense of belonging.
The interior features a harmonious blend of high-quality materials such as marble, glass, wood, and carefully selected carpets and furnishings. Strategic lighting, curated art, and the incorporation of greenery create a serene atmosphere that makes a positive first impression while supporting well-being. The layout emphasizes flexibility and accessibility, with dynamic furniture, informal lounges, and collaborative zones that allow employees to freely navigate and engage in teamwork or focused tasks as needed.
Sustainability is at the core of the project, with energy-efficient systems, standardized materials, and finishes that reduce environmental impact. The color palette unifies the corporate identity, using warm tones for comfort and vibrant accents to energize key areas. The project's success is rooted in thorough research into organizational needs, resulting in a space that not only enhances productivity and communication but also elevates the overall employee experience. Recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award, this headquarters sets a new standard for corporate interiors in Latin America.
