Inspired by the song "La Villa Strangiato" by Rush, this enigmatic house challenges the conventional suburban landscape with its massive and unexpected facade, creating a mysterious and intriguing presence in the typical town setting.
The "E-scape" house, with 'E' signifying "different," offers residents a unique escape from ordinary daily life, providing diverse and dramatic views, including a panoramic woods view from the living room. The unconventional skip floor structure and open rooftop space redefine the living experience, offering a multilayered platform for everyday life and outdoor activities, especially in the current COVID-19 situation.
Constructed with a reinforced concrete structure and silver cloud stone finishes, the "Escape" house spans a site area of 225.60m2, a building area of 185.9m2, and a gross floor area of 328.00m2, standing at a height of 9.5m. Its realization technology and unique properties make it a standout addition to the architectural landscape.
In recognition of its exceptional design, the "Escape" house was honored with the Silver A' Design Award in 2021, showcasing outstanding expertise, innovation, and artistic skill. This prestigious accolade celebrates the remarkable level of excellence and positive impact of the "Escape" house.
