Glorious State, a Singapore-based interior design firm led by founder Berinda, has received the Iron A' Design Award 2025 in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category for Project Blythe. This prestigious recognition celebrates the transformation of a 1970s landed home into a future-proof sanctuary that harmonizes classic aesthetics with the practical needs of a growing family. The project stands out for its thoughtful approach to preserving architectural heritage while introducing innovative solutions that enhance daily living.

The design journey for Project Blythe began with a vision to create a timeless residence that would remain relevant and functional for at least 15 years. Working closely with the homeowners, Glorious State employed a collaborative, user-centered process, leveraging visual research and digital platforms to align every detail with the family's routines and aspirations. The resulting 4,800 sqft home features signature arched doors and windows, custom-built storage solutions, and a layout that seamlessly balances communal spaces with private retreats. High-quality materials such as Corvidae stone and bespoke carpentry ensure both durability and aesthetic appeal.

Overcoming significant challenges, including the constraints of the original structure, asbestos removal, and the need to integrate modern amenities without altering the external framework, Glorious State demonstrated technical expertise and creative problem-solving. The redesign incorporates adaptive spaces, a warm earth-toned palette, and elegant details like brass handles and Calacatta Arabesque stone coffee tables. The project's success is rooted in its ability to foster family connection, support entertaining, and adapt to changing needs, setting a new benchmark for residential design in Singapore.
