Kyiv-based project "Adventure Nest," designed by Anton Zubkov and his team, has been honored with the Bronze A' Design Award 2025 for its innovative approach to children's room design, blending safety, play, and comfort to foster growth and independence for young adventurers.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Adventure Nest, conceived by Anton Zubkov and realized by a talented team including Lyudmila Oreshkina, Anastasia Dzhunko, and Victoria Zubkova, redefines the modern children's room. Completed in Kyiv, Ukraine, in October 2024, the project was inspired by children's innate curiosity and need for discovery. The design's mission was to create a safe, multifunctional environment where children can play, learn, and rest-supporting their independence and creativity.
The room's unique two-level structure maximizes an 18.48m² space, offering cozy sleeping quarters below and a dynamic play zone above. The climb to the upper level is made safe and engaging with steps that double as storage drawers, encouraging both activity and tidiness. A dedicated sports corner features a climbing wall and Swedish ladder, while a soft-mat relaxation area provides a calming retreat, ensuring a harmonious balance between energy and comfort.
Adventure Nest stands out for its use of environmentally friendly materials and advanced production techniques, including 3D design and CNC milling for precision. All surfaces are finished with water-dispersion paints and protective varnishes, meeting stringent safety standards. The furniture is designed to "grow" with the child, thanks to adjustable elements and high-quality fittings. Extensive research into children's needs and parental feedback informed the design, ensuring the space promotes development, independence, and cherished memories.
The project overcame the challenge of integrating safety, functionality, and aesthetics without compromise. Its recognition with the Bronze A' Design Award 2025 highlights its contribution to improving quality of life and setting new standards in children's interior design.
