Debby Chen's "Sunlit Path" residence, completed in May 2023 in northern Taiwan, has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award 2025 in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious accolade celebrates the villa's unique approach to creating a tranquil, harmonious home that responds to the fast-paced demands of urban life while embracing the serenity of its mountainous surroundings. The design reimagines the modern residence as a sanctuary, using expansive wooden elements, a sophisticated grayscale palette, and a carefully layered layout to foster both elegance and comfort.

The villa spans 353.1 square meters across four staggered levels, replacing the conventional vertical layout with open transitions and interconnected stairways. The ground floor serves as a welcoming entry hub, while the second floor is dedicated to social gatherings, featuring a spacious dining area, bar counter for over ten guests, and built-in wine storage. The third and fourth floors prioritize privacy and function, with a master suite reminiscent of a boutique hotel, children's and secondary bedrooms, and a study. Circulation is guided naturally by the staircase, enhancing spatial fluidity and encouraging organic family interaction.

A standout feature of "Sunlit Path" is its pet-friendly design, seamlessly integrating custom cat perches and a bespoke staircase platform that allow feline companions to roam freely without compromising the home's minimalist aesthetic. The use of Sycamore wood, luxury Italian fixtures, and copper-toned metal accents adds depth, warmth, and understated luxury, while large windows connect the interior to the lush, surrounding landscape. Overcoming challenges of limited floor area, Chen's design balances openness with ample storage and safety, resulting in a refined, adaptable living environment that supports both quiet reflection and lively social events.
