Nebu Snowflake Crisps Store: A Dreamlike Retail Sanctuary in the Heart of Hong Kong

Nebu, designed by Eric Fung, stands as a serene oasis amid Hong Kong's vibrant cityscape, offering customers an immersive and memorable retail experience dedicated to snowflake crisps. Inspired by the purity of winter mornings, the store's palette of soft whites and pale blues, paired with natural wooden fixtures and gentle lighting, creates a tranquil environment that contrasts beautifully with the delicate snowflake crisps on display. This thoughtful ambiance encourages customers to linger, fostering strong brand recall and emotional connection.

What sets Nebu apart is its unique approach to both design and customer interaction. The store features an open layout that allows visitors to freely explore, with a dedicated chocolate fountain production area where customers can witness the creation of chocolate-coated snowflake crisps firsthand. This interactive element transforms shopping into a sensory journey, inviting guests to engage with the artistry behind each product. The snowflake crisps are displayed as art pieces, blending visual appeal with culinary delight, and enhancing the overall shopping experience.

Realized through innovative material combinations, Nebu's design utilizes sanded acrylic and stainless steel to evoke the tactile sensation of snow, while maintaining transparency and projecting subtle metallic textures. Overcoming technical challenges, such as transporting a seven-meter ribbon plastic board for the logo canopy in a single piece, the project was completed in just one month. Extensive research into customer behavior and spatial optimization informed every aspect of the layout, ensuring a seamless and efficient shopping flow that maximizes engagement and sales. Nebu's recognition at the A' Design Awards underscores its success in merging artistry, functionality, and emotional resonance within a compact 26-square-meter space.
