Misoohi Resort: A Contemporary Architectural Landmark Transforming Tourism at Mount Huang

Misoohi Resort, designed by LINXIN LIU and team, stands as a bold new addition to the scenic foothills of Mount Huang in Tangkou Town, Huangshan City. Completed in January 2024, the project was conceived to embrace both conflict and coexistence, deliberately contrasting with the region's traditional Huizhou architectural style. The resort's expansive white exterior, sculptural forms, and classical arrayed arches create a visually arresting landmark that both challenges and harmonizes with its natural and cultural surroundings.

The 4,500-square-meter resort, set on a 7-mu (approximately 4,667㎡) site, offers guests an immersive retreat from urban life. Facilities include an al fresco coffee zone, an infinity pool, a tea-and-literature pavilion, and versatile spaces for photography, film shoots, and special events. The design's seamless integration of interior and exterior spaces, along with its photogenic qualities, has quickly established Misoohi as a social media hotspot and a must-visit destination for travelers seeking both relaxation and inspiration.

Constructed using a robust steel framework and prefabricated concrete panels, the resort's innovative building techniques allowed for the realization of its ambitious curved forms and uninterrupted 50-meter-long facade. The project's unique blend of Huizhou white tones and multicultural coastal influences not only redefines the local skyline but also contributes to the ongoing evolution of China's mountain tourism industry. By fostering a dialogue between tradition and modernity, Misoohi Resort has set a new standard for architectural excellence and cultural engagement in the region, earning it the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2025.
