Rosadela Serulle's latest residential project, Mira, located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, has been honored with the Iron A' Design Award 2025 for its unique blend of Asian-inspired elements and modern sophistication, completed in January 2025 after five months of meticulous design and execution.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mira, the newest creation by acclaimed designer Rosadela Serulle, stands as a testament to the harmonious convergence of Asian cultural motifs and contemporary aesthetics. Inspired by the client's passion for Asian culture, Mira-meaning "hundred plus rainbows" in Sanskrit-translates this ethos into a vibrant, inviting home. The apartment's design is characterized by a striking interplay of black accents, light materials, and soft textures, creating a space that is both timeless and culturally resonant.
Spanning approximately 574 square meters, Mira is thoughtfully divided into social and private zones. The social area features a spacious 21m² terrace, a 52m² living room, a 32m² study, and a 30m² dining room, complemented by two kitchens. The private section houses generously sized bedrooms, ranging from 20m² to 30m², ensuring both comfort and luxury. A highlight of the design is the living room wall, crafted from five distinct types of laser-cut wooden panels, assembled like a puzzle to create a visually captivating focal point visible from multiple areas of the home.
The project's realization demanded exceptional attention to detail, with Serulle collaborating closely with local craftsmen to achieve the desired level of finish. The use of white imported marble, natural wood, and light fabrics enhances the apartment's warmth, while environmentally conscious choices reflect modern sustainability values. Extensive research into classic and contemporary design elements, as well as the cultural significance of materials, informed every aspect of Mira's development. The result is a residence that not only meets professional and industrial standards but also offers a deeply personal and aesthetically rich living environment.
Recognized with the Iron A' Design Award 2025 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category, Mira exemplifies the integration of innovative design, technical excellence, and emotional fulfillment, setting a new benchmark for luxury residential interiors in the region.
