Quinton: A Mid-Century Inspired Residence Reimagined for Contemporary Malaysian Living

Quinton, designed by LINE2PIXELS DESIGN STUDIO, stands as a testament to the enduring appeal of mid-century architecture, reinterpreted for today's lifestyle. Completed in April 2024 in Bandar Seri Coalfields, Sungai Buloh, Malaysia, the 225 sqm residence was conceived as a sanctuary that balances elegance, comfort, and functionality. The design team drew inspiration from the clean lines and organic forms of mid-century design, infusing the home with contemporary touches and luxurious materials to create a space that feels both timeless and current.

Central to Quinton's identity is the use of unique natural marble, carefully sourced and installed to serve as a focal point throughout the interiors. Warm wood tones, bespoke cabinetry, and custom millwork further enhance the home's inviting atmosphere, while large windows flood the space with natural light, strengthening the connection to the outdoors. The open-plan layout encourages seamless movement between living zones, defined by thoughtfully placed furniture and architectural details that maintain harmony without sacrificing functionality.

The project's realization required a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques, with close collaboration between designers, artisans, and fabricators to achieve the desired level of detail. Overcoming challenges such as sourcing the perfect marble and integrating mid-century elements with modern amenities, the team delivered a residence that not only meets contemporary needs but also elevates everyday living. The recognition by the A' Design Award underscores Quinton's success in marrying artful design with practical innovation, setting a new benchmark for residential architecture in Malaysia.
