FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mani & K Interior Design has achieved international recognition with its latest project, "Bamboo," a residential unit in Kai Tak, Hong Kong, that recently received the Iron A' Design Award 2025 in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. Completed in February 2024, "Bamboo" is a 108-square-meter home designed for solo living, where comfort, tranquility, and a seamless connection to nature are at the forefront. Drawing inspiration from natural landscapes, bamboo, Siberian cranes, and forests, the design team prioritized human-centric principles, using rustic wood, natural stone, and eco-friendly, low-formaldehyde materials to create a healthy and harmonious living environment.
The residence stands out for its innovative use of curved surfaces and natural materials, which foster a sense of unity and relaxation throughout the space. Large windows and transparent glass blur the boundary between indoors and outdoors, allowing abundant natural light to flow in and offering sweeping views of greenery. The living room's ceiling features elegant curves that not only conceal air conditioning maintenance apertures but also visually expand the space and soften the impact of structural beams. This meticulous attention to detail extends to the entire home, where solid wood veneers, stone patterns, and a light color palette combine to evoke warmth and timelessness.
Overcoming the challenge of maximizing spaciousness in a compact layout, Mani & K Interior Design skillfully integrated functional zones-including a master suite, guest room, Japanese tea room, and more-within the 108-square-meter footprint. The design's signature curved carpentry required a fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and technical excellence. By extending visual lines to the terrace and harmonizing social and private areas, the team achieved a cohesive, inviting atmosphere that supports relaxation and well-being. The "Bamboo" project exemplifies Mani & K's commitment to innovative, client-focused design that enriches daily living.
