FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chiara de Rocchi has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award 2025 in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category for her latest project, Yenikoy House. Located in Istanbul, Turkey, this 250 m² residence stands out for its minimalist design philosophy, which prioritizes the dynamic city view as the focal point of the living experience. The project began in February 2023 and was completed in June 2023, transforming a four-room home into a tranquil yet vibrant urban retreat.
Inspired by the panoramic vistas of Istanbul, de Rocchi designed the interior to foster a seamless connection between the indoors and the bustling city outside. Large windows and open spaces frame the view, while the carefully curated, simple furnishings ensure that attention remains on the ever-changing cityscape. The use of tadelakt-a natural, ecological plaster-on walls and ceilings enhances the sense of calm and breathability, reflecting a commitment to sustainable materials and understated elegance.
Yenikoy House features two bedrooms, a gym area, a living room, and a kitchen, complemented by an 80 m² terrace. The design process emphasized simplicity, allowing selected art pieces and limited-edition products to add vivid touches to the decor. Overcoming the challenge of maintaining minimalism without sacrificing character, de Rocchi's approach has resulted in a living space that not only improves quality of life but also exemplifies best practices in contemporary interior design. The project's recognition at the A' Design Awards highlights its contribution to art, science, and the enhancement of everyday living environments.
