FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Li Teng Interior Design's latest office project, crafted by designer Jui Ching Hsu and completed in July 2024 in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, has earned the prestigious Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award for 2025. The 135-square-meter workspace stands out for its use of environmental psychology principles, aiming to create a calming and restorative environment for both employees and clients. By integrating a subdued color palette, soft lighting, and a flexible, semi-open layout, the office encourages open discussion and thoughtful reflection, making it an ideal setting for exploring clients' dream home aspirations.
Breaking away from traditional office conventions, the design features pure elements such as gentle curves, stone veneers, and strip lighting, all enhanced by a high ceiling that maximizes natural light. The open layout ensures that illumination flows seamlessly throughout the space, while soft white glows blend into shades of gray, creating a tranquil and cozy atmosphere. The use of hand-applied plaster, rough stone veneer, and fair-faced concrete hollow bricks adds texture and authenticity, resonating with the Wabi-Sabi philosophy of embracing simplicity and imperfection. Rounded curves on feature walls and corridors guide the eye, fostering a sense of visual continuity and harmony.
Functionality is thoughtfully addressed through smart home technology, ultra-thin magnetic lamps, and environmentally friendly materials such as PU rock board and solid oak veneer. The design also incorporates ample storage beneath beams and stairway shelves, with LED light strips embedded in cabinets and flooring to add dynamic visual interest. The project prioritized sustainability by selecting organic materials, maximizing natural ventilation, and reducing energy consumption, all while maintaining a welcoming and inspiring workspace. This award-winning office exemplifies how innovative design can enhance both productivity and well-being in a modern professional setting.
