POTIROPOULOS and PARTNERS Unveils Panorama Villa, a Contemporary Residence in Navarino Dunes, Greece
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
POTIROPOULOS and PARTNERS proudly presents Panorama Villa, a stunning contemporary residence located in Navarino Residences, at the heart of Navarino Dunes resort in Costa Navarino, Greece. The architectural concept pays homage to the historic regional architecture of Mani, Greece, particularly its stone tower houses, while incorporating modern design principles. The villa offers a unique experience of successive and diverse narratives, inviting in panoramic views of the horizon and creating a seamless dialogue with the natural surroundings.
The configuration of Panorama Villa is conceived as a series of individual stone fragments revolving around the atrium and main living spaces. The rigorous design follows the ongoing dialog between the building and the landscape, giving its interior different viewings and spatial qualities. Stone is the prominent construction material, comprising the monolithic building envelope, while Corten is used for the pergolas, perforated panels, and window profiles. The total area of the residence is 592 m2, with a building height of 7.50 meters.
On the north, the main access to the building is a varied path through the garden, paved with a succession of hard and permeable surfaces. The design unfolds itself in three levels (basement, ground floor, first floor), five distinct volumes, and their additional connecting levels, all gravitating around the main atrium of the residence. Panorama Villa is a true testament to contemporary design sensitivity to historic and natural contexts, offering a variety of astonishing experiences of memory and light.
