Chung Yi Chun's Light Extension project, completed in 2019 in Taiwan, transforms traditional closed spaces into visually expansive semi-open compartments, offering a unique blend of comfort and functionality.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chung Yi Chun's Light Extension project reimagines residential spaces, breaking through traditional design norms to create a semi-open and transparent compartment office study room and guest room. The design aims to make the public domain visually broad, offering a comfortable and open space akin to a vacation home.
The design's unique feature includes an illuminated TV wall that enhances the natural texture, providing complete storage functionality while customizing the storage requirements of the owner. The entrance features specially placed gorgeous tiles, a gray tone TV wall, and a unique welcome porch designed to captivate guests.
With dimensions spanning 110 square meters, the design incorporates materials such as marble, wooden floor, fair-faced concrete, mirror, and iron parts, creating a visually stunning and functional living space.
The project, which won the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020, overcame challenges such as integrating large beams into the space to avoid visual pressure, creating a comfortable and private atmosphere in the master bedroom.
Chung Yi Chun, the current team director of FAYI INTERIOR Design Space Creative Co., Ltd., is known for his innovative and practical approach to design, creating aesthetically pleasing and unique living spaces.
