Scholars Xuntang: A Unique Hotel Design

Miaoyi Jiang's Scholars Xuntang project is a stunning hotel design that seamlessly integrates nature with architecture. Covering a total of 5400 square meters, the project is located in Wuxi, China, and was completed in May 2022. The design team, led by Miaoyi Jiang, included Yuqing Li, Yang An, Jiaqi Wang, Xin Zhang, Jianming Tan, Yong Shi, Qin Shi, Wei Shao, Longfeng Zhang, and Xingzhong Qian.

The design draws inspiration from the natural world, aiming to create a unique connection with nature within the space. The project features wood finish, stone, gold brick, glass, wallpaper, paint, linen, silk, and malacia rattan as the main materials, reflecting the local area's rich resources.

One of the project's unique features is its respectful transformation of the original buildings, allowing them to carry new vitality while preserving their historical and architectural significance. The design successfully balances history and contemporary elements, creating a space that exudes elegance and tranquility.
