Emerald Design Unveils Ombre Aplomb: A Residential Masterpiece

Emerald Design proudly presents Ombre Aplomb, a residential project designed by Mu-Chin Chiang, located in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. Completed in February 2021, this 160-square-meter apartment seamlessly blends oriental dualism with contemporary art forms, creating a unique living space that embodies the philosophy of duality.

Imbued with oriental dualism and western expressions, Ombre Aplomb features a spacious open living area, 2 ensuite bedrooms, and 2 functional rooms. The design showcases a distinct dual-color contrast, artfully creating both rational and emotional appeals in every orientation throughout the space.

The design's black-and-white color scheme, inspired by bianco carrara and nero marquina marbles, is elegantly integrated into the matte wall tiling and gray mirror paneling on the elevation. The flooring, a mix of wood parquet and polished marbles, delineates the dining section from the open shared space, creating a visually stunning effect.

Whereas the private spaces are paved in deeper backdrops, the shared areas are filled with clean and elegant arrangements, enhancing spacious visuality. The antique mirror paneling behind the hearth, paired with white marbles, not only adds aesthetic appeal but also optimizes the space for audio devices.

Despite creative and technical challenges, including the relocation of the gas pipeline to accommodate Eastern culinary methods without interfering with the overall decorations, Ombre Aplomb stands as a testament to the seamless integration of functionality and aesthetic appeal.

Emerald Design, founded in 2021, is committed to providing interior design services that prioritize user experience, aesthetic functionality, and the embrace of oriental essence with a touch of poetic elegance. Mu-Chin Chiang's design has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2022, a testament to the project's well-designed, practical, and innovative nature.
