Yue Ding Unveils Qube Shanghai Hotel, a Fusion of Jiangqiao Cultural Charm and Modern Art
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Qube Hotel Shanghai Jiangqiao, designed by Yue Ding, is a high-end business hotel that seamlessly integrates the unique Jiangqiao cultural charm with modern fashion art, offering an unprecedented experience to its guests. The hotel, located in Jiading District of Shanghai, draws inspiration from the thematic concept of "Jiangqiao memory," capturing the prosperous life culture scene of Jiangqiao in ancient times.
The hotel's lobby, centered around the concept of a "bridge," features bridge-structured columns, a large-scale empty space, and water texture changes reflected from the ground, simulating the water surface to evoke the historical significance of Jiangqiao as an intersection of sea and land transport in Chinese history.
The hotel boasts a 600-square-meter multi-functional banquet hall and 5 small and medium-sized conference rooms, offering diverse experiences to customers according to distinct themes. The Chinese food area is designed under the concept of characteristic courtyards in the south of the Yangtze River, creating a unique and immersive dining experience.
The Qube Hotel Shanghai Jiangqiao covers an area of 31,000 square meters and is strategically located near the Hongqiao traffic hub, offering a unique geographical advantage. The hotel's design, with its fashionable and tensile orange color, draws inspiration from a rice bucket, symbolizing a good harvest. The lobby's towering art bookshelves are staggered with the reception seats, creating a diversified space that reflects the fusion of tradition and modernity.
The hotel's reception desk, designed under the bridge, follows the beauty of Chinese symmetry, creating a visually stunning and inviting space for guests.
The project, which started in February 2015 and finished in September 2019, was a creative endeavor to overcome challenges such as the narrow and long lobby space. Despite these challenges, the hotel's design successfully enhances the quality of the space experience, offering guests a captivating journey through the historical and cultural charm of Jiangqiao.
Yue Ding, an experienced interior design director, led the project, infusing his extensive experience in luxury hospitality, retail, and office interior design into the Qube Hotel Shanghai Jiangqiao. His expertise in interior conceptual design, project management, design development, and on-site coordination has been instrumental in bringing this unique vision to life.
