Jackie Lai's White Home project, inspired by the movie 'The Passengers', brings a futuristic living concept to life, integrating smart home technology and monochromatic design.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jackie Lai's White Home project is a futuristic residential house inspired by the Sci-Fi movie 'The Passengers'. The concept revolves around a monochromatic white color palette, futuristic furniture, and sophisticated fittings, creating an immersive and experiential environment. The Smart Home system allows for easy control of lighting and ambiance, enhancing the futuristic living experience.
The house measures 11000mm x 11000mm x 3000mm, covering 120 square meters. It integrates recessed light belts from Philips and smart home technology, merging space, interior, furniture, media, and interaction seamlessly. The design challenges were overcome by maintaining a constant tonality and incorporating bold tones of grey for contrast.
Jackie Lai, a design entrepreneur from Singapore, has been recognized for this innovative design, winning the Silver A' Design Award in 2020 for Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design. The project commenced in January 2019 and is set to be completed by October 2019, showcasing Lai's commitment to futuristic and functional design.
