FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FLÃVIO MELO FRANCO, a prominent Brazilian architect, has unveiled the RG House, a 310sqm single-family residence located in Teresina, Brazil. The design is characterized by a dynamic composition of geometric lines, primarily made of composite aluminum painted in black, serving as a brise soleil to reduce sunlight and heat. LED profiles integrated into the brise soleil provide functional and aesthetic illumination at night.
The two-story residence features a ground floor housing the garage, living room, dining room, integrated with a gourmet space and swimming pool, kitchen, guest bedroom, and service area. The second floor comprises two suites and a master bedroom. The color palette predominantly consists of black and grey, with wooden tones for the floors and blue accents, creating a vibrant contrast.
The construction utilized ceramic bricks for the walls, concrete for the structure, and thermo-acoustic aluminum tiles for the roof. Additionally, black aluminum profiles, transparent glass panels, and composite aluminum brise soleil were employed in the composition. The edification measures 11.35m x 19m x 7.5m.
FLÃVIO MELO FRANCO's RG House was designed to overcome the climate challenges of the region, characterized by high temperatures and strong solar incidence. The integration of indoor and outdoor spaces was achieved through massive glass panels, complemented by the innovative use of a massive aluminum frame to protect the house from insulation without obstructing the view.
Despite creative and technical challenges, the design successfully realized the client's vision, offering stunning environments, double-height ceilings, and environmentally friendly solutions such as photovoltaic panels for solar energy.
