Chien Hung Lu's "Minimal Simplicity" project is a stunning residential apartment design that embodies the essence of simplicity. The 116 square meter property in Yilan City, Taiwan, showcases a harmonious blend of minimalism and warmth, achieved through a meticulous attention to detail and material selection.

The design inspiration stems from the desire to create a living environment that reflects the inhabitants' personalities. By forgoing complex techniques and color applications, the focus is placed on materials and details, resulting in a space that is simple yet rich in character.

What sets this design apart is its unwavering commitment to simplicity as the core principle. Drawing from the roots of minimalism, the project embraces a minimalist ethos that has gained prominence in the 21st century, offering a serene retreat from the trappings of materialism.

The living room and dining room are seamlessly integrated into a single public space, characterized by a sophisticated color palette of black, white, and grey, accentuated by warm wooden tones. The deliberate use of dark wood color for the tables adds depth and dimension to the space, creating a layered aesthetic.

Notably, the dining area features a square table, optimizing space utilization and fostering face-to-face interactions among family members. Additionally, a Japanese room at the rear of the dining area introduces a cultural juxtaposition, celebrating diverse design influences.
