Residential House Redesign: "Photosynthesis of Space"

Chien Hung Lu's "Photosynthesis of Space" is a residential remodel plan for a split-level house, emphasizing the abundant sunlight and extraordinary geographic environment. The design incorporates natural materials such as marbles, painted iron adornments, walnuts, teaks, and engineered hardwood floorings, creating a color base of black, white, and gray. The open public area on the lower floor features a dining room, kitchen, and living room, exuding a sense of spaciousness and elegance.

The unique strength of this design lies in its minimalistic approach, with color tones of black and white, low-chroma arrangements, and less wood color, allowing lights and shades to become the primary decoration features. The use of dark oaks walls and a walnut long table in the captivating family area adds depth and character to the space, while the overall public area's neat and straight lines evoke a concise yet stylish ambiance.

Utilizing gray marbles and white walls, the TV wall becomes a focal point, enhancing the visual appeal of the space. The hallway, adorned with distinct granite textures, artistically portrays the imagery of fallen leaves, adding a unique touch to the design. The private area at the rear of the house is thoughtfully designed to accommodate the different aesthetic preferences of the house owner's two sons, fostering communication and harmony through diverse design elements.

Chien Hung Lu's "Photosynthesis of Space" spans 180 square meters and was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2020 for its outstanding creativity and ingenious design. This project exemplifies a harmonious blend of natural elements, modern aesthetics, and functional living spaces, setting a new standard for residential redesigns.
