Responsive Spaces illuminates Linz with an innovative interactive light installation, 'Spot On', since August 2021.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Responsive Spaces presents 'Spot On', an interactive light installation that transforms empty shop windows into captivating art pieces, offering local businesses a temporary stage. The installation, featuring controllable LED lights, allows viewers to design and display messages using their smartphones, creating an engaging experience in Linz.
The installation, comprising a wooden frame with 24 DMX-controllable LED tubes, is connected to a mobile website via a cloud-based MQTT backend, enabling passersby to interact with the lights. 'Spot On' provides a creative solution for utilizing unused spaces, especially amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, and has been operational in Linz since August 2021.
Markus Pargfrieder, CEO & Founder of Responsive Spaces, expressed pride in the project, stating, "We. Love. Linz." The installation has received the prestigious A' Design Award, recognizing its outstanding contribution to art, science, design, and technology.
