Discover the Danish living philosophy of "Hygge" brought to life in the heart of Taichung City

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Smile Coffee: Embracing the Essence of "Hygge" in Urban Living

Smile Coffee, a low-profile coffee shop in Taichung City, introduces the Danish concept of "Hygge" into its ambiance, creating a heartwarming and comfortable space. Designed by Bryan Chang, the coffee shop retains the original cement texture of the building and incorporates recycled wood, large area lighting, and a hollow pattern to evoke a sense of happiness in ordinary days.

The unique strength of Smile Coffee lies in its ability to present the intrinsic quality of the space with minimal modifications, resulting in a charming environment that reflects the "Hygge" philosophy. The use of recycled materials, high ceilings, and ample sunlight further enhances the cozy and inviting atmosphere.

Utilizing innovative design techniques, the exterior of Smile Coffee features wood grain fair-faced concrete walls, green landscapes, and diffusing light, creating a new life for building materials. The interior design includes a U-shaped bar, a specially constructed platform loft, and oblique splice wood plates on the ceiling, adding layers of vision and functionality to the space.
