FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mika Kanayama, the visionary behind Muzo, has unveiled a mesmerizing interior design for Hot Stone Rai Fitzrovia, a Japanese-inspired restaurant in London. Inspired by the chefâs creative cuisine and Japanese arts and architecture, the design aims to reflect a sense of art and delight, enhancing the overall dining experience.
The space is adorned with natural oak, mirrored wooden panels, and bold circular elements inspired by Japanese traditions. The main wall features a Hokusai Ukiyoe print as the centrepiece, creating a captivating focal point. The over-bar frame, formed of timber cross joint carpentry, showcases cylindrical paper lanterns, adding a touch of geometry and mood to the space.
Constructed with fire-retardant oak timber and veneered oak MDF, the design spans an area of 114 square meters and exudes a modern, yet distinctly Japanese, tone. The project, which commenced in October 2020, was completed in May 2021, marking a significant milestone in London's culinary scene.
Mika Kanayama's meticulous attention to detail and dedication to incorporating Japanese design philosophy into a modern setting have resulted in a truly exceptional dining space that harmoniously complements Hot Stone Rai's passionately artistic food.
