Reshaping Residential Space with Sustainable Design

Yi-Yun Chang's "My Boundary" project redefines modern residential space with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. The 69.42 square meter property showcases a precise plan in a modern style, integrating the needs of the residents while dividing the space perfectly. The use of glass and glass block walls allows sunlight to transmit into the interior, creating a captivating interplay of light and shadow.

The design's unique properties lie in its emphasis on sustainable materials and building techniques. Carbonized plywood and wooden beams eliminate the need for formaldehyde removal products, reducing resource consumption. Recyclable stone-like wall tiles made from PP foam adorn the TV wall, while the cabinet and walls are constructed using environmentally friendly materials.

Chang's design philosophy is evident in every detail, from the energy-efficient air conditioner aimed at lowering carbon emissions to the use of eco-friendly materials without compromising aesthetics. The project's completion in October 2020 in Taoyuan city, Taiwan, reflects the culmination of meticulous research and dedication to sustainability.
